Account Information
When you register or sign in through our platform, we collect your name, email address, and role (student, mentor, or administrator). This information is managed through our authentication provider (AWS Cognito) and is used solely to operate your account.
Scheduling & Session Data
We store class schedules, session start and end times, course topics, and pre-class notes that you or your mentor create. This data is necessary to deliver our core scheduling and session management services.
Usage Data
We may collect basic usage information such as pages visited and actions taken within the platform to improve reliability and user experience. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.
2. How We Use Your Information
Service Delivery
Your information is used to display your schedule, connect you with mentors or students, generate Zoom meeting links for sessions, and calculate referral and settlement records.
Communication
We may use your email address to send important platform notices such as schedule confirmations or policy updates. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
Platform Improvement
Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns may be used internally to improve the platform. This data cannot identify you individually.
3. Third-Party Services
Zoom
Zoom meeting links are embedded in session records to enable one-click class access. Joining a Zoom session is subject to Zoom's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Learnwise Solutions does not record or store Zoom session content.
AWS Cognito
Authentication is handled by Amazon Web Services Cognito. Your login credentials are managed by AWS and are not stored directly on our servers. Please refer to the AWS Privacy Notice for details on how AWS handles authentication data.
4. Data Sharing
No Sale of Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for commercial purposes.
Within the Platform
Mentors can see the names and session details of the students assigned to them, and students can see their assigned mentor's name. Administrators can access scheduling and referral data necessary to manage the platform.
Legal Obligations
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
5. Data Retention
Active Accounts
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and necessary to provide services.
Account Deletion
If you wish to have your account and associated data deleted, please contact us at the email address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
6. Security
Protection Measures
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit and secure cloud infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Age Requirement
The Learnwise platform is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
